Jan Titsworth, Mena
Jan Titsworth returned to her roots in Mena, Arkansas in 2000 after having spent twenty-eight years residing in New Orleans, LA.
She began her art studies in 1980 after a traumatic experience that left hr disfigured for a time, and transformed forever.
She studied at Delgado University and The New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts. She completed a four-year apprenticeship under portrait painter, Robert Maniscalco in 1996. During that four years she helped Maniscalco develop and teach his “Power of Positive Painting” workshops.
Jan combines art and hypnosis for her “Awakening Creativity” classes and enjoys a large following of dedicated artists, many of whom credit her classes with their success. Her personal style of painting runs toward expressionism that evokes strong emotional response and healing.
