The mysticism in LeeNora Parlor's art work lends itself to an understanding that she seeks 'harmony with her creator'. She creates ancestral, living beings, abstracts and nature paintings. Her ancestral work is deep-rooted with scenes of the distant and not so distant past, and gives expression to her inner vision of 'who she really is'.
While writing poetry….the real beginning of her artistic endeavors and expanded spiritual awareness, an intense desire overwhelmed her to paint. Astonishingly, she discovered that she can paint faces that uncannily resembled the person, that she can contact the 'face spirit', watch the face come to life, and in all instances, accept direction from her creator.
LeeNora also believes that a 'spiritual freeing' springs forth from each of her paintings and onto anyone who visits her work; as she continues to paint, each painting appears more pure.
LeeNora's paintings hang in Art Galleries, State Museums, the Governor's Mansion, other people's homes and in her home. Lenora is a self-taught artist.
