ARTIST BIO:
Margaret Hoffman, Hot Springs Village
ARTIST E-MAIL:
As Margaret aged in life, she often wondered if she really had the talent to become an artist. Realizing her talent was limited, she started classes at the Brenham, Texas, Fine Arts Center, in 1999. It was at that time that Margaret realized she might have some talent and yes, she became addicted to painting. Forget the talent, bring on the knowledge and learning. Margaret started in oils and eventually moved on to watercolor and pastels. Her desire to get better and become more knowledgeable is growing as the days continue. As president of Brush Strokes, an art club with over 100 members in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Margaret oversees many projects. This is her third year as president and workshop chairman. At this time Margaret is chairman of the Ways and Means Committee for Mid Southern Watercolorists of Little Rock. Margaret has studied with Tony Couch (watercolor), Kristy Kutch (colored pencil), Joe Fettingis (watercolor), Peter Humenick (watercolor), Richards Stephens (watercolor), Gary Simmons (pen and ink), Mike Mahon (oil), Steve Rogers (watercolor), Marlene Gremillion (watercolor), Sheliah Halderman (pastels), and Ovita Goolsby (oil and pastels), Marge Katz (oil, watercolor, pen and pencil). |
