ARTIST BIO:

As early as first grade Marion can remember her teachers holding up her drawings for the class to observe. She continued her enthusiasm through high school winning several awards. College, marriage, career, and five children later followed. Life was full and rich with family, church and teaching art in a private school in Little Rock. She still enjoys participating in painting workshops in Little Rock and in Colorado whenever possible.
Marion's paintings are rich with vibrant color. Inspiration comes from all directions. Her family has a buffet of experiences to draw from. Hiking, fishing, rafting, canoeing, horseback riding or rock climbing are common activities. She fills her canvases with this love of the outdoors, from the Ozarks to the Rockies, riverscapes or sea shores, old barns, gardens, meadows or still life. She gains special inspiration from one of her favorite passions, their horses. “I want my paintings to conjure a memory, tell a story and bring glory to our Creator. I am always excited to see what He will do with my offering.
