Pat Hames, Little Rock, AR Pat creates hand-formed ceramics using Raku glazes. The feel and texture of the clay and the joy of creating something from the shapless mass is magical to her. Today, she works exclusively in "Western Style Raku" pottery. It is a fusion of the ancient Japanese art form and the recent Americanization of the process. She combines techniques that include wheel thrown, slab, extrusion and hand pulling to create elements to create her unique forms.
