Sandra Byrom Walker, El Dorado
Sandra Walker's works have been featured at numerous exhibits, and her pieces are owned by discerning private collectors. Sandra's award-winning art is inspired by a love of God's creation and a desire to replicate it on canvas and paper. She is a member of Mid-Southern Watercolorists and creates works in multiple media.
Sandra studied art at Baylor University and for many years sold her lines of hand-painted purses, trunks and furniture all over the country. She owned and operated a distinctive gift shop and gallery for forty years and was known for her excellent eye for masterful artwork and for her ability to locate and showcase other artists' works.
Upon retirement in 2004, she moved from Texarkana, Texas, to El Dorado, Arkansas and found peace and joy in returning to an old friend-painting. In addition to the exhibits and shows for which she has won several awards, one of her paintings currently hangs in the Women's Center of the South Arkansas Medical Center.
