Sandy Bennett resides in El Dorado, Arkansas. Her artwork has been juried into several national competitions and has earned a number of awards, including the People's Choice Award in the South Arkansas Art Center's 2006 membership show. Her work hangs in many private and corporate settings.
After a short career as an Elementary teacher, Sandy took a 16 year hiatus to raise her own two children. She then went back to school and became a High School Art teacher for 12 years. In 2002, she decided that she wanted to focus on her own artistic talents. She now divides her time between painting sets for local theatre productions, and following the desire to create. Her primary love is watercolor, but she recently joined a plein air oil group and loves the travel and outdoor painting. Sandy enjoys experimenting with different techniques and mediums. Everyday is another step on an amazing journey. ”A lifetime is not enough time to paint"
