Sue Hunter, Greenbrier

Sue Hunter grew up in Greenbrier Arkansas where beautiful landscapes were abundant. She now lives in Scottsdale Arizona where her paintings reflect those beautiful scenes of her past and her impressionistic style is vibrant with unexpected colors and shapes, suggesting a bit of mystery and intrigue. In her work you find emotional suggestions of the subject matter which encourages the viewer to closely explore the painting. Her subject's include florals, animals, landscapes, figures and still-life. Sue teaches watercolor, oil, acrylic and pastel classes year round to students throughout the southwest. Her paintings have been frequent award winners in local, national and international juried exhibitions and she is represented by numerous galleries throughout Arizona.
